I just love working in Special Collections. In randomly searching through a box of our Jane Jarvis International Jazz Collection, I found this book of sing-a-long baseball songs. It turns out that Ms. Jarvis was the Official Organist and Musical Director of the New York Mets, and before that, for the Milwaukee Braves, as well as rose to Vice-President of programming and recording for Muzak. Of course in a book of sing-a-long baseball songs, there would be one celebrating summer, and while it might not be jazz, it was arranged by a jazz pianist.
