University of Idaho Library Special Collections and Archives wishes all baseball fans a Happy Opening Day of Major League Baseball! Nothing says spring like the crack of a bat or the sound of a ball smacking into a well-oiled glove! The action of the sport is captured in this University of Idaho Vandal 1937 game!

Today, University of Idaho Campus Recreation offers students the chance to participate in Baseball Club. A part of the National Club Baseball Association, the Vandal Baseball Club competes against teams from Idaho, Montana and Washington.Conference season begins early spring. Conference champions earn a chance to advance to the NCBA World Series in May.
