From the caption: “Studing necrotic calico, a virus disease of potatoes particularly serious in S.W. Idaho, in the greenhouse at the University of Idaho is Gene Douglas Easton of Paul [Idaho]. This project is sponsored by the Union Pacific Railroad through research fellowship. Easton is doing the work under the direction of Prof. J.M. Raeder, Assoc. Plant Pathologist with the University of Idaho’s Ag. Experiment Station.”
